What are digital marketing services?
Digital marketing services cover the work that turns online attention into paying customers: search visibility, paid advertising, the website people land on, and the email and follow-up that closes them. Bought separately they compete for budget. Built as one system, they can be measured against a single cost per booked job.
Most agencies sell those five things as five products, each with its own dashboard and its own definition of success. The website team reports bounce rate. The ads team reports impressions. The SEO team reports keyword positions. Nobody reports what it costs to put a job on the calendar, because no one owns the whole path.
That is the gap this business exists to close. One person owns strategy, the ad accounts and the numbers, and the same person understands the CRM, the phone system and the follow-up the leads land in. The services below are the parts. The system is the product.
What's included
Six services, one path from click to job
Each one has its own page with what you get, what it costs and who it's wrong for. Nothing here is a placeholder — if a service is listed, it is one we deliver.
SEO & AI search
Rank for the jobs you want in Google, and get named when someone asks ChatGPT or an AI Overview who to call.
Local SEO & Google Business Profile
The map pack is where most local service work is actually won. Category, services, photos, reviews and a profile that stays current.
Google & Meta Ads
Search, Local Services and paid social, judged on one number: what it costs to put a booked job on the calendar.
Website design & build
Fast sites built to turn a click into a phone call, with the tracking wired in before launch, not after.
Analytics & attribution
Call tracking, conversion import and one dashboard that answers what a booked job costs — the number almost nobody can produce.
Brand & creative
Logo, vehicle wraps, signage, workwear and the quote template — the assets that make a two-truck operation look established.
Lead generation
Every part above, run together as one path from first click to booked job, and reported as one cost.
How it works
Fix the leaks, then turn up the tap
Audit before spend
Week 1We go through the site, the ad accounts, the analytics, the call recordings and the follow-up process. You get a written summary of where the money is going and where it is leaking, whether or not you hire us.
Fix conversion first
Weeks 2–5Landing pages, page speed, forms, phone routing and the first-response process. Doubling the traffic into a page that converts at one percent just doubles the waste.
Turn on demand
Week 4 onwardSearch campaigns on the services with real margin, then Local Services or Meta where the maths supports it. SEO and content run in parallel on a longer clock.
Report on cost per job
MonthlyOne page: cost per lead, cost per issued appointment, cost of net sales, and what we are changing next month and why. Not a screenshot of an impressions graph.
The order matters more than the tactics. Spending more on advertising into a site that does not convert, and a follow-up process that forgets people, is the most expensive mistake in this industry — and it is the one most agencies are paid to make.
How do you know whether digital marketing is working?
Three numbers, reported every month: cost per lead, cost per issued appointment, and marketing spend as a percentage of net sales. Clicks, impressions, rankings and engagement are diagnostics — useful for finding a problem, useless as a report. If cost per job is not moving, the marketing is not working.
I used MAT to create two different websites (landing pages) that drove lead traffic to my site and got my business to the top of organic searches. MAT's strategy was a 3 months game plan that actually started producing incredible results in just 4 weeks.
Fit
Who this suits, and who it doesn't
This is a good fit if
- You run a service business doing roughly $1M–$20M and you sell through booked appointments or quoted jobs.
- You can name what a customer is worth to you, or you are willing to work it out with us in the first month.
- Someone in the business will answer a lead within the hour during working days.
- You want one accountable partner across ads, site, SEO and follow-up rather than four vendors.
- You are prepared to be told that the problem is the sales process, not the marketing, if that is what the numbers say.
This isn't the right fit if
- You want the cheapest possible retainer and success measured on traffic.
- You need e-commerce, app installs or a national brand campaign — that is a different discipline and we would be the wrong hire.
- Leads sit unanswered for days because nobody owns them. Advertising into that is setting money on fire, and we will say so.
- You want SEO guaranteed to rank first by a fixed date. No one can honestly sell that.
- You want to keep the numbers vague. Every engagement here starts by making them explicit.
Questions people ask before they call
What is included in digital marketing services?
Search and AI visibility, paid advertising, website design and build, email marketing, and the design and print assets that carry the brand offline. Every piece feeds one tracked path from first click to booked job, and reports against one number: what a booked job costs.
How much do digital marketing services cost in Ontario?
Our retainers run $1,500 to $6,000 per month plus ad spend, set by how many services are running and how much of the work we do rather than advise on. Website builds and CRM implementations are quoted as projects. Full ranges and what moves them are published on our pricing page.
Do I need every service, or can I start with one?
Start with one. Most businesses should start with conversion and paid search, because those move within weeks and pay for the rest. Adding SEO, email and design later is straightforward. Buying all five at once before anything is measured usually wastes the first three months.
How long does it take to see results from digital marketing?
Paid search can produce enquiries in the first week of a properly built campaign. Conversion fixes usually show inside 30 days. SEO and AI search visibility typically take three to six months to move meaningfully. Anyone promising faster organic results is guessing.
Do you work with businesses outside Hamilton?
Yes. We are based in Hamilton and work across Burlington, Oakville, Grimsby, the Niagara region and the wider Golden Horseshoe, plus clients elsewhere in Canada. Being local matters for local SEO and site visits; it does not limit who we can build a system for.
Who actually does the work?
Mathew Brown runs strategy, the ad accounts and the reporting on every engagement, supported by specialists for design, build and content. You are not handed to a junior account manager after the sale. That is also why the client list is deliberately small.
What if I already have an agency?
The audit works regardless. Plenty of businesses come out of it knowing their current agency is doing fine on ads and badly on conversion, and change one thing rather than everything. We will tell you if the honest answer is to stay where you are.
Find out what your marketing is actually costing per job.
The audit covers your website, ad accounts, search visibility and follow-up process. You get a written summary of what is working, what is leaking, and the order to fix it in. Yours to keep either way.
